I love cozy sweaters, but I still love my dresses. It’s all about layering this time of year to allow items from your fall wardrobe to work with your Canadian winter necessities!
I layered this over-sized cardigan over a simple jersey dress with tights and wedge booties for a boho-chic look that’s warm yet stylish. I always end up buying more open front sweaters for the season because they’re so versatile – I can layer them over pretty much anything if I need to!
I love the way red, black and grey look together!
I accessorized my look with gold jewellery, a leather shoulder bag with gold hardware and a warm slouchy beanie – cozy and chic for the season! I rarely wear hats indoors, but I love wearing this beanie with my casual looks when my hair is straight – functional and cute!

Finally, I opted for suede pointed wedge booties from ZARA to finish off the look. I love these wedges because they’re the perfect combination of casual and dressy – so many ways to style them! This outfit would also look great with flat ankle boots or even slouchy calf-height boots.
With a look that walks the line between casual and dressed up, you can go either way with your makeup. I love a bold red lip this time of year so I took the opportunity to try out the Holiday Glam 2013 look by Elizabeth Arden‘s Global Makeup Artist, Rebecca Restrepo.
This holiday beauty ties in beautifully with the red and gold in my outfit! I wasn’t sure how I felt about the emerald eyeshadow, but I love the way it looks along the lash line – soft and subtle!
